Introduction
The Christian Organizations Research and Advisory Trust of Africa simply known as (CORAT Africa) is a non-profit making Christian organization whose purpose is to enable churches and church related organizations in Africa to improve their leadership and management capabilities. Since its inception, CORAT has been running training courses to meet the management & leadership needs of churches & church related organizations & NGO's in Africa.

The story of CORAT Africa starts on 25th March 1975 when the organization was incorporated in Kenya as a Company limited by Guarantee. With the support of Kenyan Church leaders and professionals the CORAT Africa was formally registered in Kenya in 1975. CORAT Africa has continued to provide training and consulting, positioning itself as one of the leading firms in this market, that is the Church.

We exist to enable more effective leadership management and accountability of Church - related bodies and christian organizations in Africa, through training, consulting, research and development & facilitation
Key activities
Consultancy services
Since inception CORAT has engaged in consultancy services. They include evaluations, feasibility studies, needsassessment, impact assessment and accompaniments.
Training Services
CORAT organizes residential courses for Senior Executives. Finance Officers, Development Coordinators, Hospital Leadership, etc., for Churches and Church related organizations. In-country (tailor-made) courses are organized on request.
Research, Development & Publication
CORAT continues to research into ways of improving management in Christian Organisations and continues the development of training materials (especially its "Theology for Management series")
Conferencing Facilities
CORAT Africa runs the CORAT Management and Development Centre (CMDC) which has facilities for conferencing, accommodation, dining and retreating.

*CORAT as a member of the network make a contribution in the capacity building of the network member in varied disciplines as requested by the members. It’s provide the local support services to be members on behalf of EED in East Africa*
