National Cordinator

Mr Salmon Ogutu Owii is a holder bachelor in education arts (Economics), Higher Diploma and Masters in Community Health and Development and PHD student Health economics. He is currently the National Coordinator for Kenyan Community Based Health Financing Association (KCBHFA), where he Coordinates, Advocates, Undertakes research, Manages the Network, Capacity release to members, stakeholders and partners on community based health care financing mechanisms. He had been fulltime but now part-time lecturer at Great Lakes University of Kisumu where he lecturers in Health Economics, Institutional Development and management Community based Education International Health and Partnership. He also held administrative post as the Registrar Academics and Coordinator partnership program in the Greater Southern Nyanza Districts. He has gained international and diverse experiences having studied Regional and Economic Development in Israel and Social Epidemiology and Health care in emergency from Taiwan. He is also a member of TICH Ethical Review Committee and Fellow. Mr. Owii has been involved in many social research using Qualitative and Quantitative studies in HIV\AIDS, poverty, livelihood security, Gender, Institutional System Development, ecumenical among others for which he has used the results to design programs for many clients particularly the application of business incubator at the community levels. He has also taught in high school for eight years.
